Concept of an alternative control system for the automotive context, which was realized with a functioning Arduino prototype model.

The inspiration for the control system came primarily from a bicycle handlebar. The handlebars have two grip units that can be moved in relation to each other. To accelerate, the grips are pulled inward. If the user wants to brake, he pulls the grips outward. As with a bicycle handlebar, the user must swing the handlebar in the desired direction to steer.

For accelerating, we took a track cyclist as an example. Here, the biker has a close grip for optimal speed. The counterpart to this is a downhill mountain bike rider, who has a wide arm position when braking.
